I think I finally waded past my art block, which basically entails slamming into the block repeatedly until you make a big hole in it.
I’ve forced myself to sit down and write scripts every night, with a goal of five pages each night. I now have 25 pages scripted. Hoping to up my frequency from 3 to 5. I said this in my livejournal – but I had forgotten I quit inking by hand because I ran out of manga manuscript paper and couldn’t afford to buy more pens OR paper. There was also the issue of how much time it took to clean them up. In the interim, I was introduced to two tools that fix both those issues, and… I tend to fall into a trap of losing time while I’m inking comics on details that nobody can really see. Five minutes here and there tend to add up. So I’ve found a pack of paper that I missed and I’m going to see if I can go back to inking as fast as I used to. If I can, I’m going to eventually try to get a wide format printer/scanner combo so I can easily do my comics on ONE sheet of paper instead of 2-3. 😀 And.. .SCAN it all at once.
So, right now, working to the end of the chapter because the change will cause a noticeable difference in how things are drawn.
Oh, by the way, I had an opening where I could’ve ended this comic in a month. 😀 But then I’d have likely had a lot of angry readers. 😀 Luckily none of you know where I live!
– Tiff – working on the month’s wallpaper right now.
