Chel rocked slightly in her bed, fretting over what to do next. Her stomach was churning uncomfortably. Surely, if she told them, she would feel better, but what would they do?
“I knew this was coming. Now, I have to get it over with. They will understand, right? I have to tell them now.” Chel made up her mind. Her entire body felt stiff, but she willed it to move.
Andrea and Kalvin had moved from the table to the living room. Victor and Melissa were in the kitchen. Vic was taking care of the pizza boxes and Mel was sipping from a cup of hot tea.
“Mom,… Dad … we need to talk.” Chel stopped in the doorway and looked at her parents. They wouldn’t really do anything to Lexx… would they?
“Okay.” Mel glanced over her shoulder.
“I know about the cameras.” Chel stated.
