The next 24 hours were some of the longest that Chel had ever endured. Pitrea, Jayne and Tayne were her constant companions, the latter two very vocal and upbeat about the game and where they were going. Not a word was mentioned about Tayne’s fainting. Karmine ignored Chel the entire time.
Food was delivered three more times throughout the ‘day’. Chel didn’t have an appetite for it, but forced herself to eat anyway. The kids cleaned their plates, with Tayne and Jayne remarking about just how good the food was and how good the food would be from now on.
Pitrea wordlessly communicated with Chel throughout the day and it was she that Chel felt the worst for. She was such a little, sweet girl. Chel tried hard not to imagine her in Lexx’s situation. There had to be something she could do, but what?

Meanwhile, Lexx faced dice after dice in the training room under Riley’s supervision. He fought shorter matches and kept them to actual training levels so that the dice were rarely hurt in ways that kept them from walking away from a fight under their own power.
Lexx would be ready when it was time, at least, that’s what he kept telling himself. He would be ready.

That die reminds me of Sirius somehow…
Also, I wonder what is on that dataplate that Pitrae is handing to Chel? A message? A Picture?

I love this! <3 Was worth getting up and checking.

The only thing I don't like, and I've noticed this for a while, is how you ceased to write it in a book form.

Text is always the last thing I do and if I don’t have time to do it, I don’t. I have commissions I have to do so I can put gas in my car and buy groceries. When advertising and store revenue picks up, then I’ll have less delays. This week, the comic almost didn’t update anyway because of commissions, but I put in 14 hour days to get it done and didn’t have a holiday or get to spend time with my family outside of yelling at them to stop distracting me.
