4/27 - Working. if you enjoy the comic - support it. The current tally is accurate. Negative to March. I do also count gift cards! They can be sent here! I prefer in this order: Albertson's, Tom Thumb, Kroger, Sprouts, Walmart (Great for gas!), Target and Market Street. I'll also count gifts off my Amazon Work and Personal lists!

Day 26 Part 2 Page 9

  • Day 26

Vic stopped beside the pool and stared into the crystal clear depths. It was much deeper than it looked and there was a variety of alien fish like creatures swimming in it. Lexx waited patiently for Vic to say something.
“When I was a kid, I dreamed of being an astronaut.” Vic began slowly.
“What is that?” Lexx inquired curiously. He had never heard such a word before.
“Basically, where I’m standing now,” shrugged Vic.
“Oh.” Lexx nodded quickly.
“I also wanted to see if there really was life out here.” Vic released a heavy sigh, lifting his gaze up to the stars beyond the garden area. “Now that I know there is, I’m a little disappointed that it’s no different than earth.” He turned to Lexx, who was listening with his full attention. “We humans are not the owners of making dumb decisions.”
“My decisions are made for me.” Lexx was quick to point out. He really didn’t like the feeling that Vic might be suggesting he had made dumb decisions.

Not all of your decisions, Lexx. And less now that Riley, Claudia and Damien are getting their ears chewed off for making so many choices for you and getting you hurt by doing so.

Thus Vic lays down the point that everyone in the universe is making dumb decisions at some point in their lives. ^^

Oh Vic! Your such an awesomely grounded person!

He, of course, got that way by making his own list of dumb decisions…. and learned from them. He is seeing the others do a lot of the same because of their own (fairly) limited age, and it reminds Vic of his earlier self. He’s making the point that he’s been there, done that, in a way. And he’s prolly making it a point that he’s got some experience that could help Lexx, if he wanted it.

I’m just loving the way you color/shade/highlight/etc Lexx’s hair and wings. It brings them to life! <3

What Changed?

For those of you complimenting the new updates, here’s what happened:

The week before vacation, Adobe announced they would STOP allowing upgrades from Photoshop CS3 to the current CS6 after the end of the year. I had been PLANNING on upgrading my entire creative suite, which was $500, but was going to do that next year. I thought I had plenty of time since there’s a couple of years between updates. CS3 is fine and all, but it’s outdated, doesn’t make use of my tablet PC/Desktop’s 64 bit cards and OS OR the RAM. It’s also not as stable. So I decided I needed to upgrade ASAP and just upgrade from CS3 to CS6. That was $200. (If I ran out of the upgrade cycle, I’d have to pay full price and I really don’t want to.) Auctions made that money and I was able to upgrade and new software/hardware always makes me REALLY happy and trudge less. So while there are people who like to roll their eyes and tell you to keep using what you’re using, because it isn’t worth it, hogwash.

CS6 is a joy to use. This year.. .hoping to upgrade a bunch of things.
