“I am not –“ Victor stopped examining Lexx.
“You’re not going to hurt Daddy are you?!” Maenae’s eyes widened and her voice quivered. And then, she let it all out. “No! No!” The little girl shrieked as loudly as she could flailing her arms and legs. “Put me down! I don’t want to go! I don’t want you to hurt Daddy!”
