“We’re looking for Shira Lexx.” Jayne and Tayne stated simultaneously.
“He’s not coming.” Karmine turned back to her dataplate.
“You don’t know that, Karmine.” Chel glanced back at Karmine. Anytime anyone said anything about Lexx or rescue, Karmine could be counted on to immediately shoot it down.
“No. But I do know that he’s just like us.” Karmine said haughtily. “He’s a slave. He has to do what he is told.”
