Lexx stared up the gigantic body of the Wyvern. It's heads were arced backward, staring at him from two angles. Their eyes met and Lexx could see the dull lights in their eyes. They were not interested in this battle. They were not fully under Trasik's control. They were not her dice. A glimmer betrayed them. The left head's eyelids twitched and Lexx's body tensed. The heads were at an angle that would make attacking him difficult. They could not arc down and reach him. The forelegs were too long to do anything more than try to knock him aside and it would be slow. He heard a rattle. Then a swooshing sound. The tail. Lexx leapt straight up. The tail slammed down onto the rock just below him, shattering it into much smaller rocks with a loud thoom! Lexx flared his wings, using the momentum of his jump to get just high enough to catch the swiftly moving winds coming off the ocean. He was quickly lifted higher and back against the sky. Lightening illuminated the scene in a brilliant flash of light and faded. Lexx swung his arm back, shouting over the wind. His left hand glowed and sparked as energy built up in preparation of a retaliatory attack. "Stay close to me." Riley spoke sternly to Chel. His gaze was fixated on the battle and he expected either one of the combatants to be struck by lightening. The sight of the wild and free arcs of energy sent prickles through his skin. "This could get nasty and Lexx would be really angry with me if you were hurt."
