“You’ve wiped out whole species of creatures because they got in your way.” Zaile stepped away from Damian so he could continue to address Vic directly.
“I’m going to take a walk.” Vic calmly picked up a glass and shook it lightly to make the golden liquid inside swish around. Then he stood up and made his way back the way they had come.
“Why did you have to do that?” Damian hissed at Zaile. “You’re just as human as he is.”
“I am not one of them.” Zaile glared contemptuously at Vic’s back.
“By blood, you are and everyone in the galaxy knows it.” Damian snapped. He did not appreciate Zaile getting in the way of his efforts to be a good host to Vic and Keith. Damian turned in a huff and stormed after Vic.
