Skate suddenly whipped her head back and emitted an ear splitting screech. For a lesser creature, that sound would have shocked their senses enough to cause temporarily paralysis. It just made Lexx’s ears ring. Then, Skate arced her neck and brought her head down at Lexx, parting her jaws in a mock attempt to bite him.
