Before Lexx had time to realize what was going on, Skate’s tail whipped around his right leg and jerked him upright. Pain shot through Lexx’s knee as it was twisted and pulled. Smaller jabbing sensations rippled through his thigh. The injury there had almost healed and now the new muscle connections were being strained.
