Lexx sighed. His thoughts were clouded with what the dice had to say to him the night before. He’d had a long talk with them and found that they had more to say than he did. They’d also managed to change the entire topic of the conversation from them behaving, to Lexx telling them about who he’d been talking to and then why he’d told them not to tell Chel. Lexx wanted to keep the situation controlled and preferred to talk to Kane and get to know her more before introducing her to Chel. He was just concerned about what kind of a person Kane was. He really didn’t know anything about her other than who she was. Now, Lexx had another issue to deal with. He had gone through his closet, yet again, trying to find something, anything, that he could wear as a shirt. “Deuce,… nothing that will accommodate my wings,…” He settled with a grunt onto his bunk. It was covered with shirts he’d tried to see if he could at least stretch over his neck and shoulders. None of them were comfortable. “The clothes I did have were too torn to keep when I lost these annoying things.” “Where we’re going,… it’s going to be cold,.. even though it’s summer there.” Chel held up one of Lexx’s cloaks, trying to see if she could figure out something to do that would make it fit. Lexx had pointed out where they were going, which appeared to be very far northwest in Canada. The moment Chel had mentioned it would be cold; he’d gone back to the bunkroom to look for something warm. “I don’t have a choice,.. we’ll make a run to another outpost after the capture is done.” “Maybe it won’t be that bad.” Chel folded the cloak over her arms, trying to be positive. “Just a little chilly, not like when I went after Steel.”
