Lexx had set in several sets of coordinates so he was free to talk, “I am sorry, Chel.” He apologized, hoping he sounded sincere enough.

“I know.” Chel sighed.

“How long are you going to be mad at me for a little kiss that meant nothing and saved me from a fate worse than death?” Lexx attempted to belittle the entire incident, thinking that if he did, Chel would eventually see it from his point of view.

“I don’t know.” Chel replied, trying not to get worked up about it since Lexx really didn’t understand,.. still.

“I swear that it meant nothing.” Lexx went on, adjusting their path once a line flashed across the screen, notifying him that there was another ship that had already called that jump. There would be a slight delay. “I have no interest in such activities. None. Especially not with you.”

Chel frowned. That wasn’t what she wanted to hear. It would have been better if Lexx had not said anything more after his apology.

“Lexx.” Stealth laid her ears back flat against her head, glaring at Lexx, “We should have a talk later.”
