“No. She has singled me out for some reason.” Lexx persisted. “I honestly do not know, Lexx.” Riley shrugged. He really wished he had the answers Lexx wanted. “Do you have any memory of when it began? I don’t.” Lexx stared at Riley. He really wanted an answer. Any answer as long as it had a reason. Something that was logical and Lexx could attach some understanding to. “Trasik has always been annoyed by you.” Riley stated awkwardly. Why Trasik hated Lexx was not a topic he enjoyed thinking about, because he had asked her. She never gave an answer. She just laughed in his face. “Maybe she resents you being in our family line. I don’t know. Riley’s words drew a blank stare. In Lexx’s mind, this was another piece of information that Riley had neglected to give him and he wasn’t sure how to respond. “When this is over, you have a home on Litta.” Riley added after a moment’s silence. Lexx let the words sink in. He had a home? A real home? Not just a place to live?

  1. Just like with all things we are given, we will only truly value a ‘home’, once we had to live without it. A place to return to, a safe haven…one cannot even imagine, how important having something like this is…unless they’ve lost it at least once.

  2. refugnic, u are so insightful, i love your comments. 🙂
