The Sairah known as Meli had assured Chel that the domed ceiling showing off a vast canvas of stars was one way.  Chel could see outside, but nobody outside of Damian's ship could see her.  It was one thing to be naked in front of other women, another to be seen by just anyone passing by.  Damian had at least been thoughtful in making sure that everyone around Chel was female or at least appeared to be.  Chel wasn't quite sure with Sairah.  She had recalled from the dataplates Riley had given her that they could change genders in the proper environment.   She had been embarrassed in front of the tailors, mainly because they were paying just a bit too much attention to curves and bulges she really preferred not have poked and prodded.  They discussed openly how to accentuate her features and conceal problem areas.  While Chel knew she wasn't perfect, she didn't like having her imperfections discussed as though she were a science project. Meli had been nice and understanding and tried to keep Chel involved, but she also instructed the tailors to speak in Sairah halfway through the fitting.  Chel knew they were still discussing her. And now, Chel was soaking in a fragrant smelling blue bubble bath staring up at the stars beyond the domed ceiling.  The water was perfect.  The bubbles tingled delightfully and she felt more relaxed than she had ever felt.  "This isn't so bad."  Chel sighed, enjoying the soft cushion beneath her head. "It's actually nice and relaxing.  Just don't think about anything and enjoy it.  Don't think about Mom and Dad …"  Chel's smile faded slightly as various thoughts suddenly flickered through her head. "… Riley …"  She sunk a little into the bath.  She didn't look forward to talk to him. "… Lexx …"  What was he going to say?   "And I thought college and regular life was tough."  Chel slid beneath the bubbles completely.
