Chel quickly went through the things she had removed from the bag, pushing aside Kip's dataplate. She was pleased to see that he was currently recharging and not active. Chel did not need the nosey AI getting into anything. "Hopefully I'm not too late." Chel found the remote and tapped in the command to make a door back home. "Hey! If Energy gets a new name, I want one too, Chel!" Fly scrambled across the bed and almost ran off the side as the light from the door intensified. "I'll give you one too if you just do what I asked you and stay put!" Chel stated. She beckoned to Energy to follow her and stepped through the door. Energy darted after her. He was unsure of what she had planned. But he knew it would be best if he did as she asked. On the other side, Chel walked into her bedroom as easily as if she had walked through a physical door. Her room was just as she left it. A few seconds later, Energy emerged. Then the door dimmed and abruptly closed. A glance at the window showed that it was still night. Light from the moon was clearly illuminating her otherwise dark room. "Stay behind me until I call you, okay?" Chel whispered to Energy. She opened the door and they started down the hallway. "Come in, Chel. We were expecting you to return hours ago." Chel felt a chill crawl through her shoulders at her mother's voice. How did they always know?
