Lexx’s face contorted in obvious pain for a brief moment, then abruptly changed to an unheard scream as spatters of blood suddenly erupted from beneath his bandages. You may not desire to watch this, but he will survive. The grey intoned in a completely emotionless voice. Chel turned immediately into her father’s arm, unable to watch the pain Lexx was experiencing as the grey’s worked on him. We are being as quick as we can, but this is messy. Vic watched the screen, feeling really bad for Lexx and fighting very hard with keeping his anger at the greys in check. It was just like them to not care about the pain that their subjects were enduring. As far as he could gather, their bodies had moved so far beyond their natural states, they had lost touch with what it was to experience many more things than simple emotions. If they did not experience pain, they would not fully be able to understand it in another being.

  1. Ouch… dunno what they are undoing to him, but that looks like it hurt…
definitely not like pulling off a band-aid…

  2. I have but one thing to say … Ouch

  3. I second that ouch. As they say… it usually gets worse before it gets better. 🙁

  4. I reeaally hope Lex won’t remember this…

  5. Poor Lexx…and poor Chel. I’m glad she has her father to hold her.

    1. Poor, poor Lexx. There’s no one who can give him a hug right now. 🙁

  6. I wonder why with all that tech they don’t have a general anaesthetic? Is there some reason why that would mess up the treatment?

    1. It probably would mess up the treatment. They wouldn’t be able to “see” or “hear” the problem areas as well (like how old school carpenters can tap on walls and tell if there is a stud or a beam the are not suppose to drill into- it’s a dying art). Sure they could layer on the treatments/technologies but often the simple most basic ones are the most effective (even though they can be the least pleasant).

If any thing, Vick is getting a visual of just how brutal Lexx’s life has been.

  7. You think this hurts now? Wait till they get the bill.

  8. I think after this, Chel’s father will have a little more respect for Lexx and will trust him more.

    1. I don’t know about trust- trust is earned, not given.

He is not going to forget what almost happened in Chel’s room and he has not been given a satisfactory explanation on it (it’s funny, because the Greys could and would have given him a point blank explanation but he’s too…scared? to want to ask them anything. Normal reaction. Justified reaction. Missed opportunity non the less).

But this should give him more of an understanding and build on the realizations he’s been having.

      1. It’s likely that once this is over, Vic will get a chance at some point to sit down and talk with Lexx and Chel.

With a chance to talk, and with the information that the Bad Code was removed, Vic will likely warm up to Lexx a bit.

Trust will take time, but I’m pretty sure Lexx can earn it.

  9. Vic had better be careful or he will lose his mindblocks.

  10. Imagine what it feels like when nearly every cell in your body goes nuclear and spontaneously explodes.. Probably something similar.

  11. I think the numbing of anything wouldn’t matter if he was coming apart at a subatomic level.

As for the charms I want Dig! MOAR DIG!!! =D

  12. Ouch. -..o

I love that color scheme for Lexx! It makes him look 20% cooler. 😀

  13. The Stealh Haloween Charm is tooo cute. I would love a Zeta charm.

  14. Wow, Vic’s thoughts put a different spin on this strip too.

  15. He looks like he’s being tickled. The pain never leaves.

  16. Clearly, the Grays meant it’s “a little uncomfortable” for them, but sheer agony for Lexx.
