“Because you want a family just as much as I do.” Zaile stated honestly.
“Yet you don’t consider me family.”
“I came to apologize.”
“And you expect me to just take it and let you use me?”
“No.” Zaile sighed. “I want you to do what is right and what is right is putting an end to this game.”
“And you’ll take our sister and I will likely never meet her.” Lexx countered.
“No. Riley would not allow that.” Zaile shook his head.
“You’re right, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to help you. I’m tired of being used by everyone.” And with his final words, Lexx ended the conversation. He didn’t want to talk about it anymore. It was making him feel guilty for not wanting to help his sister, when he did want to help her. But it had to be on his terms, not theirs. They had time.
