“And not until I’m sure he’s safe to be around.” Vic glanced at Riley and his father, who were both nodding very slowly in agreement. Lexx understood that, but wasn’t sure why Vic would think he was unsafe. His recent memories were a muddled mess and the last Lexx could recall, Vic had seemed on guard around him, but not like this. “Dad. It’s ok.” Chel laid a hand on her father’s shoulder and glanced at Lexx. This was Lexx. She knew it. It was really him and not whatever it was that had chased her in her room earlier. She knew it. We’ll talk later. Chel reached out quickly to Lexx, sending a comforting touch over the relay. He still looked bewildered and a little sad, but the look that Vic was giving him was enough to make him remain where he was standing.

  1. poor lexx

  2. Meh, I wouldn’t worry they both have a relay after all.

  3. Handy that she has a relay, though.

    1. Potential evil plot development:
The bad code instead of being destroyed actually jumped into Chel’s head over the relay.

See the TOS trek episode ‘Wolf in the Fold’.

      1. And slip past the gray’s notice? Unlikely. Not impossible, just highly unlikely.

      2. This isn’t THAT much a horror story. (Technically, it’s not a horror story at all.) So the Bad Code is deleted and thankfully GONE.

It was a bit anticlimactic, but not unwelcome.

Fortunately, Vic’s mistrust isn’t a wholly bad thing, as it is a fatherly concern for his daughter. Said distrust can also be removed with time and a chance to sit down and talk.

  4. So bad code is gone (maybe) and his little mental guardian angel is still about (I think). Still curious as to how Chel will react to Lexx having a female living in his head lol.

  5. Oh, how many relationships could be saved (or ended safely) with a relay. 😉
