Chel stepped aside to make room for Sirius to stand next to her.
"Hello ..." Energy slowly walked through the door and tried to look as friendly as he could.
He was met with stunned silence.
"Sirius is one of Lexx's dice. He's part of the game." Chel didn't want to go into too many details. She was afraid in her current mental state and lack of sleep she might say something wrong. "He's played two other times. They leave when they're done, right, Sirius?"
"Yes, we do!" Sirius nodded vigorously as he sat up on his haunches. "We have always gone to play the game on other planets."
Chel let him do the talking. Other thoughts were nagging at her. Again. She was reminded again. "HE's going to leave." She tried to brush the thought aside. Right now, she needed to handle this problem and keep her friends out of a laboratory.
