"Hello." Maelinn smiled at Maenae, crouching slightly to be closer to her level. "My name is Maelinn. You must be Maenae."
"Our names both start with Mae!!" giggled Maenae.
"Uh-huh." Maelinn nodded. "You're a smart little girl. You can call me Linn."
"Ok!" Maenae caught on quickly. "You can call me Nae!"
Riley put the boxes on the table in the kitchen, noting the flowers in the vase on the center of the table. Flowers? Interesting. Riley smirked and glanced back at Maenae and Maelinn, who were still talking.
"Chel's mad at me,.. I didn't even do anything." Lexx stated, hearing Riley walking up behind him.
"She still mad at me?"
"No."
"Great!" Riley beamed at the news. "I hope you don't mind that I brought Maelinn with me. I thought she and Chel would,.. you know,.. become friends." He really did have the best of intentions in bringing Maelinn with him. She was fascinated by the prospect of meeting the human girl and Riley thought that another female would probably have an easier time understanding Chel… and then explain her to him.
Lexx blinked. He had heard Maelinn's voice, but it hadn't fully registered to him. "You've never mentioned Maelinn before. Who is she?"
