Lexx stared ahead, looking at his reflection in the viewing glass. Very few times did he look into a mirror when he was sad or upset.  Mirrors usually made him pleased at what he saw, but at the moment, he could only see just how depressed he was.  It was strange to look into your own eyes and see how much they hurt.  Riley's eyes held a far different reflection.  Concerned.  Patient and willing to listen. "Worst case scenario, I tell her, she leaves and I have nothing."  Lexx gave in. "And the best?"  Riley encouraged. "… it's mutual.  She stays and I am distracted.  Then, I get captured,… and I have worse than nothing.  I have something I can never again reach."  Lexx kept whispering, not wanting to risk anyone but Riley hearing him.  It was bad enough that he had to actually speak, without the thought of Maelinn, Maenae or by some off chance, Chel hearing him. "Why does everything for you end up with being alone, Lexx?"  Riley asked more for Lexx than himself. "You know that's the way it's always been." Stated Lexx with a shrug of his shoulders. "I'm offended,…"  Riley stated in mock disdain, then in a more serious voice he added, "I've always been there, even when I didn't know where you went.  I never forgot.  You know that I didn't.  We looked for you.  I've told you before.  We looked, but the ADC already had guardianship of you and my parents wouldn't tell me that's where you were…"

  1. BEST case scenario…chel gets some proper lessons in defense and awesomeness, love is mutual, and NOBODY can take chel anywhere she doesn’t want to go.
