Five minutes later, Chel looked like she was about to spit fire at Lexx’s announcement. “You’re going to do -what- to Dash?!”

“I have to terminate him, Chel.” Lexx scowled at the computer screen. He didn’t want to look at Chel any longer than he had to while delivering the bad news. “Don’t worry, it will be painless.”

“Lexx, you can’t do that!” Chel fumed. She glared at Lexx’s back while roughly rubbing Dash’s head. She was holding him so tight he could barely breath, but Dash didn’t mind since she was between him and Lexx.

“It was just a glitch! Don’t kill me! It wasn’t my fault!!” Dash cried out plaintively.
