The creature sped up, glancing back a moment at the uproar echoing behind her. The glance was one moment too long. She turned her head back around to see a wall looming in front of her. She jerked her head back and tried to stop running, but her forward momentum carried her effortlessly over the slick tiles despite the mad scramble of her legs to change course.
She slammed into the obstacle and vanished inside it. It wasn’t solid. It was fur, or hair. Thick beige and white fur. And it was soft. The creature chirred curiously and wriggled herself deeper into the fur. This might just make a good temporary hiding spot. At least it would give her enough time to eat the orange.
Drift rolled from his back to his side, snoring on undisturbed by the little animal that had just crashed into the thick fur. His eyes twitched at a little tickle on his side as he moved, but when that stopped he sunk back into deep sleep on the cool tiles with the sun from the overhead skylight heating the other side of his body.

This reminds me of a guy I knew in highschool. He had a VERY large afro. I actually saw him pull twinkies out of it one time. I fell out of my chair laughing.

To answer both of you. No i’m not joking. And to save your minds from exploding, the twinkies were still in the wrapper.

I know a boy with an afro so big, a few years ago the class bird landed on his head and he didn’t notice.

And THAT’S why you’re supposed to keep your eyes on the road at all times. There might be a giant drift sleeping ahead of you 😀
