'One question.'  Lexx stepped through the doors to his bedroom and let the door close behind him.  Chel was still sleeping and was completely unaware of Lexx's presence as he sat down on the foot of the bed.  He took a breath,… and reached out. Chel was dreaming.  It was loose and fragmented like most dreams, so Lexx took a moment to manipulate it.  It was easy to manipulate a dream, especially when the person whose dream you were working didn't know about it.  He chose something from Chel's memories, a perfect dreamscape that seemed to carry with it a peaceful feeling.  She liked it. While he was poking around deeply into the recesses of Chel's memories, Lexx could not resist a little bit more probing, more into the things he already knew.  He wanted to know everything about her, especially to confirm that she wanted nothing from him.  Completely innocent.  She'd never had a thought like that, but there were more interesting thoughts that made Lexx abruptly stop looking.  Some things should be kept private and he wasn't asking at the moment, he was reading what he shouldn't know. Chel was completely unaware of what was going on.  To her, it was all a dream that was forming in vivid color.  A huge grassy field with a cool crisp breeze ruffling the blades around her.  It smelled like rain, that delightful combination of earth and water.
