"Lexx, what did Kane do?" Chel ventured, unaware of Dash's internal turmoil. She idly petted him between the ears.
"She's a thief and con artist." Lexx stated evenly. "I did some research on her."
Another ship passed silently by the Rift.
Silence.
Chel studied Lexx. His face was completely blank of any emotion. She resisted the urge to talk to him over the relay.
"I know she's your sister, Lexx, but do you honestly trust her?" Chel ventured.
"No." Lexx frowned. "No. I do not."
Well, now that’s the first words of the wise regarding Kane I heard from him. Good to know that the ‘blood bond’ isn’t clouding his senses completely…but honestly, there’s a lot of trouble brewing…
