"Chel left early this morning to spend the day with friends," Andrea stated in a slightly rehearsed manner. Kalvin glanced up at their father, hoping he wouldn't notice.
"Oh? Who is she with?" Vic hoped he didn't sound anymore probing than usual. "No one left the house this morning - or last night. This is alarming."
"Lexx -" Andrea replied without thinking.
"Chel told you about him, right?" Kalvin was quick to speak up before Andrea could say anything else. "Or was she talking to mom?"
Andrea blinked at her brother, a little annoyed that he was interrupting her.
You know what? I think being incompetent is just hereditary in the Reid family. Kalvin doesn’t seem to have gotten that gene. Andrea sure as hell did. Chel seems to have gotten missed, too.
