“Drift thinks it might be one of Epsy’s hatchings!” Fly chittered, grateful that the creature was no longer screeching and thrashing about. The creature was now completely still, staring warily at Stealth and trying to keep herself balanced in a semi upright position. “No … it’s not. It doesn’t smell like them.” Stealth leaned toward the animal and sniffed. She prodded at it’s hind leg with one forepaw and wrinkled her nose. “It smells like Ke-“ The creature took Stealth’s movements as a threat and suddenly hissed and opened her mouth. Two large retractable fangs popped out of the top of her mouth and she jerked forward to sink them into Stealth’s muzzle. Stealth stood there for a moment that felt like an eternity. Very sharp, very large teeth were sticking into cartilage of her nose. And something warm was spreading through her muzzle. POISON! The thought sent Stealth into a frenzy. She roared and slung her head around violently trying to get the creature to let go. Fly hung on in terror as he was flung along with it.

  1. Curiosity might not have killed the cat this time, but maybe she’ll think twice about sticking her nose that close to it again… lol
