Meanwhile, Kane stared at the control panel in front of her. The humming of the engines had died down once she had left the Earth's atmosphere. Now the ship was floating aimlessly in space.
"Huh - why did the - wha!!" Kane shrieked as the signal came over the ship's relay point. "Interceptors on the scanner!"
"Shira Kane, you are ordered to surrender or we will open fire on you." A metallic voice rang out.
