"We should talk over the relay, if you don't mind, Chel." Lexx's voice tentatively echoed across the relay. "I don't." Chel looked away a moment, responding likewise. "They're listening. I think it was a setup by the ADC." Lexx allowed Chel in on his thoughts. "Why?!" Chel's voice quavered with shock and confusion. "Their idea of amusement." Lexx's relay form shrugged and rolled its eyes. "It's not wise for you to be seen with me, but we can - talk over the relay if you wish." He offered politely. "Do you think I'll be safe at home?" Chel asked in a still panicked tone. "What about my family?" "You're only in danger when you are with me." Lexx stated. "Ready to go?" Lexx spoke aloud, severing the relay feed to Chel. He didn't like having to admit that it was being around him that had put Chel in danger. It was a painful thought. The one person he wanted to be around, he couldn't, because she might get hurt. He was going to have to keep his emotions in check for Chel's well being. He could live with that knowing she was safe.
