"Chel, you mean well, but each one of those eggs is going to hatch into a little eating machine that's going to get at least as big as Epsy or Zeta when full grown."  Riley curled his fingers and made jaw motions with them for emphasis.  "They have no place on this world and need to be removed."
"I agree."  Chel knew he was right.  "They could wreck the ecosystem on this island and if they continued to breed …"
"Oh, they can easily be fixed to prevent that."  Riley paused to take a sip of his drink.
"I didn't know they could breed.  I never even thought about it."  Chel searched her memory for any discussion she had with Lexx about it.  She thought there might have been some mention of it, but it didn't seem like something that Lexx had expected either.  Then she remembered the discussion about reintroducing Dash to the wild to breed with other tigers.  Before she could say anything, Riley was talking again.
"They aren't actual dice, Chel, not like their parents.  Dice are always left intact, because it would be useless to remove any organs from their bodies.  They just grow back because the dice coding is DNA based."  Riley explained.  "The resulting babies of two dice are not dice bonded.  Sometimes they will retain attributes of their parents that are not natural, but they are just animals and forbidden from being bonded to a dice."
