"I'll never be free! I'll never be with Chel or Maenae!" Lexx felt a deep sinking feeling pulling at his body.
"Lexx, do you know how many orphans are taken into the ADC for 'Life Training'." Lexx was really beginning to dislike Riley's unnamed brother. His question was a clear statement. "250,000. Half will die in training. The ADC has excuses for them all and no-one really checks. The master set is very profitable and the ADC has deep pockets."
Lexx tried to avoid the wavering forms in the background. Children. Hundreds of them. They looked so much like the many faces he had seen at the ADC during his time there and brought back haunting memories.

250,000 over what time period? Or will they stop after 250,000?

However long this has been going on. I would have to go back and look. I would imagine each year is only in the thousands though.
