'Spoiled brat, …' Cinka fumed, shifting her gaze aside. 'She better not cost me my job.' Cinka wasn't sure what she would do if she were dismissed, but had already made up her mind that somehow, she would make Maelinn and Riley BOTH pay.
"I have not told you about the things that Cinka has done to me, Zaile, for your sake, but I'm sure if you actually wanted to, you could do better." Maelinn continued seriously. She had kept her tongue still for months now, enduring the constant prodding and verbal abuse from the sairah female and now, she was saying something. It was for Zaile she had not said anything. He had seemed to enjoy Cinka's company, even though her presence was a constant aggravation to Maelinn.
"Maelinn-" started Zaile in a stressed tone.
