The pair landed several feet away in shallower water. The duck complained with more erratic quacking, but did not put up much of a fight otherwise. Sythe had her talons sunk firmly around his wings and into his chest. She splayed her wings out to hold her up.
Energy sunk into the water with a sigh and panted. The draining effect had left him feeling very sleepy and sore across his muzzle where the duck had been clenched in. Several drops of blood gathered where the talons had been gripping him, clinging to the tips of Energy's wet fur.
"Vicious dice,… and one I can't do anything with." Lexx swore to himself in several alien languages, then he waded out into the water, trying not to think about what sort of slimy creatures and things might be trying to work his way into his boots.

Why can’t he use it? Syphon seems like he’d be useful. May need to roll first, but still.
