"Why would you want to bring me?" Chel couldn't hide her disbelief. It seemed like an invitation that one only extended out of courtesy. In Chel's mind, it was so absurd it might as well have been rhetorical.
"Why not?" Lexx sauntered to the doorframe across from Chel and leaned against it. He let his wings drape along either side of it so that they hung casually. "Typically its three days of good food, music and entertainment. Fun in general."
"Three days?" Chel blinked. It seemed like such a long time for a party. She could hardly imagine parties that last longer than a couple of hours, let alone days. Parties like that just didn't exist in her world.
"If you can't stay the entire time, don't worry about it." Lexx smiled. "I would just like you to come with me as my guest." He waited again. Lexx did not want to be pushy, but he really wanted to see what it would be like to go to a party with someone he actually wanted to take and not someone who had paid for the privilege of his accompaniment.
