"I don't understand. I didn't even know about you." Lexx responded meekly to the onslaught. He didn't receive a response over the relay.
"I'm leaving." Zaile jerked away from Riley, a look of shame and regret shadowed on his face as he spoke to the littan.
"Probably a good idea, Zaile." Riley nodded sympathetically. He had, after all, caused this fight. The fact that Zaile had not immediately fired him again spoke volumes.
Zaile strode away beneath the curious looks of a growing crows of onlookers. He just wanted out of there as quickly as possible and no-one dared say anything to him sensing the heavy cloud that followed in his wake.
"They chose you over me!" The words rolled through Zaile's head, feeding his resentment further.
