Kip stared at the open door.  He had been all over Chel's room, exploring what he could and when she left, she hadn't closed the door completely behind her.  It was cracked a few inches, just wide enough for a little dataplate assistant to slip through. The strange music was eating at Kip's desire to know things and he quickly worked up a way around what Chel had told him. He wandered to the door and peeked out.  There was no-one to be seen and the music had stopped.  A thin smile crept across his face, 'Technically,… a room is an enclosed area.'  With that, he snuck out into the hall to explore the house.

  1. Yup…saw it coming. Shouldn’t that thing have something like a limited range? You know: ‘Can’t go farther than a few feet from it’s home station’?

  2. You said “do whatever”. Now everyone is screwed.

  3. She also said “You have to stay in this room.” That really doesn’t leave any wiggle room for technicalities.
