I am quite proud of this image, even with such a simple background. It looks exactly how I envisioned it... although her eyes are still a little off, it's not too noticeable. This drawing was done on a sheet of 9 x 12 bristol, inked with crowquill and nib dipped in ink and colored using a modification of my usual method of coloring and tips I picked up out of Sarah Ellerton's cel shading tutorial. The lovely corner flourishes are from Obsidian Dawn.
Unfortunately I've been running a fever all weekend, so it probably took me longer than it should have. Anyway, I'm pleased with it and most of how this is done is going into the weekly comics. Those comics are inked on 8.5 X 11 bristol until I get a larger scanner that can handle the 10 X 15 sheets I have.
