"Do not say something stupid." Chel chided herself to think before she spoke. This was not a conversation she wanted to say the wrong thing in and upset Lisaan. She didn't know her very well, but she had quickly picked up the vibe of someone who had been hurt in ways that Chel didn't even want to imagine. "I'm not really good at anything ... really." Lisaan looked down abruptly after a second of actually meeting Chel's gaze. "Damian thinks you're a good cook." It was all Chel could think of. "I belong to Riley." "Belong?" Chel frowned. "He doesn't want me. He said he's sending me back." Lisaan added. "Riley ..." Chel's good intentions were immediately crushed as the gravity of the perceived situation hit her. No matter what good that littan did, he always had something equally nefarious hidden behind his fanged smile.

  1. Aaaannd, he’s dead~

  2. Hexanthia’s comment made me laugh because it is so true!! XDDD

  3. Well, what did Riley really do? He hasn’t coerced her into anything she didn’t want, did he? He has been nothing but…well, somewhat kind to her. (Though Damian easily surpasses him there). And ‘sending her back’ was supposed to be a salvation, so she may have a shot at happiness. However that wouldn’t work out, as we know.

    1. Um, let’s see. Since he’s met her he’s: shouted at her, pushed her to the floor, shouted at her some more, made her so scared of him that she would rather follow his orders than fall off the Earth, threatened to send her back to a life of prostitution, and hasn’t listened to her life story or considered her feeling once. He may think he’s saving her, but if he actually payed attention he’d find out he’s only causing her pain and misery.
