"Men can be so difficult to understand," Claudia sauntered into the room. "... or control."
"Stay good ..." Chel told herself. Claudia was not someone she really wanted to deal with right now and judging by her dress and blatantly sexy movements, she had her mind on things other than meaningful conversation.
"That's a beautiful dress, Claudia." Chel complimented through a forced smile. "Were you at the party earlier? I didn't see you." It was better to be cordial than lose any of the steam intended for Riley.
"No. It takes a considerable amount of time to properly prepare oneself for an event such as this." Claudia emphasized 'considerable' as though it was the most important word in the universe.
"It does." Chel rolled her eyes in groaned inwardly. "Speaking of which, we should go back now." Chel avoided looking at Claudia, staring straight past her as she started for the door. "I couldn't imagine sitting around all the time doing nothing but getting dressed."
