“Let go!!” Chel screamed again as First jerked his hand free. He was more annoyed than hurt. It wasn’t the first time he’d been bitten by a struggling captive and likely wouldn’t be the last.
The momentary distraction was just what Stealth was looking for. She lunged forward with a roar that shook the walls of the house.
First casually shifted Chel against his left arm, raising the right in Stealth’s direction. Golden light arced around his open hand accompanied by a sizzling sound.
Update delivered! There are only three updates this week - I hope to get more than three out next week but it's dependent on Kim. She was in the ER again on Friday and it apparently kept her from going to ICU later. Illness is kind of lingering though and she's once again running a fever this morning. She's been running one on and off since last Sunday.

I despise this guy. I *really* hope he gets his later on–in spades.
Honestly, I don’t think I’d have any sympathy for him unless somebody turned him into bloody dollrags, at which point my ‘He’s hurting–take care of him’ instinct would take over. But I’d still cheer for whoever shredded him!

True, but at least he’s not manipulating people and being coy about his evil. Even if he is evil, I fight his straightforwardness to be refreshing. No moral ambiguity here, just an ass who needs to be dealt with.
Even Trasik has the decorum to veil her threats, even if the wrapping is transparent cellophane. She at least tries to be nefarious and sneaky. This guy? Nope! “Imma kidnap a damsel, deliver a ransom, and laugh maniacally while I rough up some kid nearby for chits and giggles.”
