Meanwhile, Lexx and Victor were having a bit friendlier chat on the island. Zeta had joined them and Lexx was answering questions about him. Epsy and Zeta had brought two eggs in with them and laid them on a nearby balcony. Zeta was supposed to be watching them, but he wasn’t passing up a moment to get attention from Lexx.
Lexx was just about to explain Zeta’s origins when a cold seeping sensation crawled up the back of his neck. Lexx stared blankly ahead, his mind and the relay working quickly to decipher what was going on, but not fast enough to hide it from Victor and Zeta. The hand he was about to pat Zeta with was held short of the sallomandar’s head.
Zeta pressed his head into Lexx’s still hand, staring at his master curiously.
“Lexx?” Victor was clearly confused by the alien’s sudden lack of interaction.
