Riley suddenly popped into Lexx’s relay. He couldn’t even get a word out before Lexx assaulted him with questions. “Riley?! Where is Chel?! That’s why you’re here, isn’t it?!”
“There was signal interference. It’s still down.” Riley nodded seriously.
“Where is Chel?!” Lexx grabbed Riley’s avatar and jerked him around to be eye level. Lexx wanted answers immediately and Riley could get them without arousing any undue suspicion from Victor.
“I’m on my way to her house right now.” Riley stated, unsure what to make of Lexx’s expression. He had been watching the feed and was completely unaware of anything that Chel might have told Riley during the black out. The last thing he had seen was Stealth and Fly sleeping. Chel’s feed only showed her opening the door to her home.
Then all three screens had gone to static. Riley had made it a point to watch the feeds just to keep track of what was going on. He had never thought anything would really happen. Chel was too popular of an element in the game to be removed.
