Chel came through the door and Lexx was about to greet her when Keith … then Vic appeared immediately behind her. Chel had a surprised look on her face and for a brief moment, so did Lexx. His wings snapped together behind his back and he took a step back. What was the meaning of this? Who were these people?
Keith was grinning like an idiot and Vic’s gaze was shifting from Chel to Keith, then it landed on Lexx.
Lexx just stood there. He was not prepared. He had no idea what was going on or how he should act. Chel gave him an odd look and then glanced away from him as though looking for something or someone else.
