"You all keep saying it's her choice, but none of you are making any effort to ask her!" Chel walked toward Lisaan who was standing quietly nearby, watching the scene in shock.
"Eep!" Lisaan squeaked the moment Chel touched her shoulder. This wasn't what she wanted. She hadn't wanted any of this. They were arguing because of her. She was a problem and problems where she came from were never dealt with in pleasant ways.
It was too much for her.
Lisaan darted for the door screaming as she went. Chel swallowed hard. She thought she had been helping. But now, she was regretting doing exactly what Lisaan had told her not to do. She really should not have said anything and now it was too late to do anything about it.
