"Let me tell you something about Riley and Damian." Lexx turned away from Chel. He took a deep breath. "Riley is my brother. He has a big mouth and says things he doesn't intend to say. Damian is a friend, a loyal friend."
"Yes, he likes women, all kinds of them, but he would never take advantage of anyone. If he did ... I would never have tolerated his presence.
I've known them both for a long time, longer than I've known you. And I trust you. I trust them. They may do things that you see as wrong, but just like your initial thoughts on me ... there is much more to them."
Chel smiled. This was so unlike the Lexx she remembered from their first days. He did not seem as angry, bitter and withdrawn. He had changed so much in the last several weeks.
