Waist high grass spread as far as the eye could see, only thinning when it hit bushes or the thicker foliage near the forest. Lexx looked around hopelessly. They’d arrived into this clearing, only to find it not that clear. The grass rippled in waves like a thick coat of fur as a gentle morning breeze wafted through the blades.

“Not the kind of place I’d expect to find an armadillo.” Chel held up her arm so that Fly could walk out onto her elbow and see better. Beside them, invisible in the tall grass Zeta and Stealth were trying their hardest not to lose sight of Chel and Lexx.

“You’re telling me! How are we going to FIND it?!” Stealth growled.
