An unexpected smile spread over Lessa’s face, “If it were not for my husband’s brother, Rumen, I would not be here.” Lessa was being moved from her room to another, one of many moves she would later realize were done to conceal her presence in the medical ward. Rumen had come to the station on a delivery run, completely unaware of what had happened to his brother’s family. “He recognized me.”
