“Right now, as much as I’d like to stay. I need to sleep.” Chel sighed, finding her gaze fixated on Lexx’s face and leaning toward him. It was the same, yet different. She could see so much more than she once could.
“I’ll be here in the morning. I promise.” Lexx smiled again, his eyes almost seeming to glimmer.
“You better, or my dad is not going to be impressed with your trustworthiness.” Chel teased rocking back on her heels and turning to leave.
