The ERA tech who was on duty and watching the monitors scanned over Lexx’s as it went white for a few seconds. There was no sign of Lexx on the two monitors covering his room. The tech checked over the rest of the monitors and everyone was where they had been brief moments before, but Lexx was nowhere to be seen.
“Lexx is gone!” The tech knocked over his cup of coffee in a panic, flinging his hands carelessly aside. He slammed one hand down on top of the rarely used security button on the far side of his station.
