"Heh,… just don't tell her you love her until last," smirked Riley, nudging Lexx's arm, "You'll know when, I'm sure."
"You're a lot of help, Riley," grumbled Lexx. Tell her everything about himself? Some of those things,… they really hurt. How would she take knowing everything he had been through? There were some things he had never spoken about with anyone. He wouldn't even speak with Riley about them because of how deep the emotional scars ran. His mind wandered momentarily to that one memory that had set him firmly into the social path he had taken.
It was immediately dashed away by a click and light flooding the room. Lexx and Riley blinked in the sudden bright light, both feeling the sudden need to hide.
